About the role
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Odoo Tech Lead to spearhead a "zero-to-one" Odoo Enterprise implementation. Partnering directly with our Product Manager to bridge functional requirements with technical execution, you will architect a scalable, multi-company, multi-brand ecosystem tailored to our specific business logic.
As our technical anchor, your primary focus will be designing the foundational architecture, advising on infrastructure, and executing the most complex core customizations. You will also play a key leadership role, establishing development standards and mentoring our internal engineering team as they execute day-to-day custom development.
Infrastructure & Architecture: Recommend the optimal Odoo Enterprise hosting solution (e.g., Odoo.sh vs. Cloud) and architect a scalable, zero-to-one environment built for a complex multi-company setup.
Phase 1 Execution (Manufacturing & Accounting): Own the technical design and core implementation of the related modules, ensuring flawless BOM routing and precise COGS calculations across entities.
Technical Leadership: Establish Odoo best practices and write clean boilerplate/scaffolding code. Conduct rigorous code reviews and provide technical guidance to empower our internal backend engineers.
Integration Strategy: Design secure, reliable API integration patterns between Odoo and external third-party systems.
Requirements
Experience: 5+ years of senior-level Odoo development and technical architecture, with a proven track record of leading "zero-to-one" Enterprise implementations.
Domain Expertise: Deep technical mastery of Odoo’s Accounting and Manufacturing modules, particularly concerning inventory valuation and complex multi-company accounting.
Multi-Company Mastery: Extensive hands-on coding experience within Odoo’s multi-company environment, including a deep understanding of inter-company rules, record rules, and security groups.
Technical Stack: Expert in Python, PostgreSQL, XML, JavaScript, and the Odoo ORM. Strong understanding of Odoo hosting environments and CI/CD pipelines.
Leadership: Strong communication skills with a proven ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate effectively with both Product Managers and internal developers.
Bonus / Nice-to-Have: Official Odoo Certification (Version 16, 17, 18, or 19). While not strictly required if your GitHub/portfolio proves your technical depth, a functional certification is highly valued as it demonstrates a strong grasp of standard Odoo out-of-the-box workflows.
