About the Role
Ensure the delivered product meets quality standards and is free from critical issues.
Maintain quality metrics and lead the SDET team effectively.
Design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks and scalable testing tools.
Develop and review reliable, high-quality automation code with minimal flakiness and zero false positives or negatives.
Create and review comprehensive test cases.
Execute tests based on defined cases and exploratory testing methods.
Collaborate closely with developers and product teams to define and refine testing strategies.
Work with Development Leads and Product Managers to understand requirements, triage bugs, and manage the bug backlog.
Plan and execute both short- and long-term quality roadmaps.
Mentor and guide the SDET team to improve technical and testing capabilities.
Actively participate in the overall development process.
Maintain a balanced 50:50 ratio between leadership and hands-on testing responsibilities.
Requirements
Strong knowledge and experience with the Javascript programming language
Strong knowledge and experience with the Playwright framework
Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Test Engineer/QA Engineer/SDET and have experience creating automation from scratch.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a lead (senior roles are welcome)
Familiarity with Bitbucket versioning and Pipeline
Strong problem-solving skills, considering risk, timeline, and requirements.
Strong analytical and exploratory skills to solve complex technical problems and attention to detail.
Experience in SaaS, payment, and e-commerce businesses is a plus.
Good communication skills
You are currently in a managerial role but have a passion for coding, and are not afraid to get involved in day to day development, this is highly preferred.
